Understand Where Your Organization Stands, and What to Do Next

Thank you for completing the AI Partnering Maturity Assessment.

This assessment helps organizations evaluate how effectively they are using AI across partner-focused workflows, from foundational awareness to measurable business impact.

Below, you’ll find guidance to help you interpret your results and understand what each maturity level means across the six dimensions assessed.

How to Interpret Your Results

Each statement in the assessment was rated on a scale from 1 to 5:

  • 1-2: Early stage capability
  • 3: Developing and inconsistent
  • 4-5: Advanced and consistently applied

For each dimension, consider your overall pattern of responses. Higher, more consistent scores indicate greater maturity and readiness to scale AI-enabled partner practices.

The 6 AI Partnering Maturity Dimensions

AI Awareness & Literacy

This dimension reflects how well your team understands generative AI and can communicate its value and limitations in partner contexts.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: Early-stage understanding; foundational education is needed
  • Level 2: Awareness exists, but knowledge is inconsistent
  • Level 3: Growing understanding with opportunities for structured enablement
  • Level 4:Strong literacy embedded into onboarding and partner processes
  • Level 5: Organization-wide fluency and readiness for advanced experimentation

Prompting Proficiency

This measures your team’s ability to use effective prompts and frameworks to produce high-quality AI outputs for partner-related work.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: Prompting skills are undeveloped
  • Level 2: Experimentation exists without consistency
  • Level 3: Experimentation exists without consistency
  • Level 4: Strong literacy embedded into onboarding and partner processes
  • Level 5: Prompting is a strategic, repeatable capability

Workflow Integration

This dimension evaluates how deeply AI is embedded into your partner workflows and systems.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: AI use is isolated and manual
  • Level 2: Limited use in select processes
  • Level 3: AI supports key stages but not end-to-end workflows
  • Level 4: AI is integrated into core partner systems
  • Level 5: AI is fully embedded, context-aware, and proactive

Use Case Coverage

This reflects how broadly AI supports partner lifecycle activities such as onboarding, enablement, co-selling, and reporting.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: Few or no AI use cases defined
  • Level 2: Initial use cases are being tested
  • Level 3: Multiple use cases exist but are disconnected
  • Level 4: Use cases span the partner lifecycle
  • Level 5: AI supports partner success end-to-end

Governance & Oversight

This dimension measures how responsibly and consistently AI is governed in partner-facing use cases.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: No formal AI governance
  • Level 2: Informal or incomplete guidelines
  • Level 3: Responsible use is emerging
  • Level 4: Governance is structured and actively managed
  • Level 5: AI governance is formalized and enforced

Measurement & ROI

This assesses whether AI-driven partner efforts are measured and tied to meaningful business outcomes.

Maturity Levels

  • Level 1: No AI-related measurement in place
  • Level 2: Activity is tracked, but value is unclear
  • Level 3: Productivity or engagement metrics are monitored
  • Level 4: Performance is measured across workflows and partners
  • Level 5: ROI is clearly tied to partner success and growth

Most organizations fall across multiple maturity levels, not just one. That’s normal, and it’s where the biggest opportunities exist.
